I am Always Here for You

I am Always Here for You is a painting of Black-tailed Prairie Dogs. The image of these cute animals was so adorable, and the look of compassion and care was to compelling, so it didn’t take me long to get inspired. I chose to paint on linen on panel this time. This presented its own challenges, but I wanted to have this canvas texture feel. Linen also feels quite different than cotton—its structure is more profound. The original painting 12”x9” was done in acrylics on Belgium linen on panel.
